Upon your arrival at Casablanca Airport, your friendly driver will greet you and assist with your luggage before ensuring a smooth transfer to your accommodation. If you arrive early, you can visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of Morocco’s largest and most beautifully crafted religious sites by the Atlantic Ocean.
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive through rural landscapes and argan forest countryside toward the charming coastal town of Essaouira. Upon arrival, take in panoramic views of the Atlantic before checking in and exploring the historic Mellah (Jewish Quarter) and the impressive Skala Fortress, which overlooks the ocean and the old medina. A visit to the bustling Fish Market and the sandy beaches completes your seaside experience.
After breakfast, travel toward Marrakech while enjoying views of the diverse Moroccan countryside. Once in Marrakech, begin your guided exploration with a visit to the Majorelle Gardens, the towering Koutoubia Mosque, the historic Saadian Tombs, and the elegant Bahia Palace. In the evening, soak up the energetic atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and the lively souks.
Your journey continues over the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains. After crossing the mountains, visit the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a striking example of earthen architecture and a famous film location. Continue to Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert,” where you’ll explore Taourirt Kasbah and the local movie studios.
Depart Ouarzazate for the dramatic landscapes of the Dades Valley, stopping in Kelaat Mgouna, known for its roses, and reaching Tinghir, surrounded by palm groves and scenic canyon views. Spend the night enjoying the tranquil atmosphere of this oasis region.
After breakfast, travel through the desert region past Erfoud, known for fossils and dates, and visit Rissani, a historic desert market town. Continue to Merzouga, the gateway to the vast Sahara, where you will swap into camels for a trek into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, arriving at your desert camp for an unforgettable sunset and overnight under the stars.
Wake early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, you have options for activities: visit Khamlia village to enjoy traditional Gnawa music, take a 4×4 excursion to explore volcanic rock formations and ancient fossils, or meet a nomadic family to learn about their traditional lifestyle. Alternatively, relax and enjoy the peaceful desert surroundings at camp.
Today you’ll begin your journey back north, passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Visit Azrou’s cedar forests, home to Barbary macaques, and continue through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its alpine architecture and climate. Before reaching Fes, enjoy a stop in the mountain town of Imouzzer. Tonight you’ll stay in Fes, one of Morocco’s most historic imperial cities.
Enjoy a full free day in Fes with your driver available for optional activities. You might explore hidden souks, visit a traditional hammam, or simply wander the ancient streets and markets.
Today’s guided exploration of Fes takes you into the heart of the Medina. Visit the Seven Golden Gates of the Royal Palace, wander the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah), enjoy panoramic views over the Medina, and explore artisan quarters such as the Ceramics area. You’ll also visit the Moulay Idriss II Mausoleum, Nejjarine Fondouk Museum, Attarine School, Al Karaouine University (exterior), and the famous Leather Tanneries.
Depart Fes for the Roman ruins of Volubilis, where well-preserved mosaics and ancient columns reflect Morocco’s Greco-Roman past. Continue through Moulay Idriss, a sacred hilltop town, before visiting the imperial city of Meknes, home to Bab Mansour Gate, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and bustling souks. In the late afternoon, travel to Chefchaouen, the stunning blue city.
