Arrive at Casablanca Airport where your professional driver will greet you with a warm welcome and assist with your transfer to your accommodation. If your arrival is early, you’ll have the option to visit the stunning Hassan II Mosque — a masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship and one of the world’s largest mosques before settling in for your first night.
After breakfast, set out for the seaside town of Essaouira. On arrival, enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic coastline before checking in and stepping out to explore. Visit the historic Mellah (Jewish Quarter), wander the old medina, stroll along the Skala Fortress overlooking the sea, and absorb the bustling atmosphere at the fish market. Unwind on Essaouira’s sandy beaches and take in the coastal breeze.
Today you’ll travel inland to Marrakech, known as the “Red City.” Begin your Marrakech tour with a visit to the Majorelle Gardens, take in the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, explore the historical Saadian Tombs, and admire the elegant Bahia Palace. End the day wandering through the vibrant souks and lively Jemaa el-Fnaa Square.
Depart Marrakech and head over the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass through the High Atlas Mountains. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, known for its striking mudbrick architecture, then continue to Ouarzazate — the gateway to the desert — where you’ll explore the Taourirt Kasbah and local movie studios. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Travel from Ouarzazate into the rugged landscapes of southern Morocco, passing through the Dades Valley and scenic red gorges. Continue toward Tinghir with its lush palm groves, then on to Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Here, you’ll swap your vehicle for camels and ride into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi for an unforgettable desert experience.
Wake before sunrise to experience breathtaking views over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast at your desert camp, choose activities such as visiting Khamlia village to hear traditional Gnawa music, a 4×4 tour of surrounding rock formations and fossils, or spending time with a nomadic family in their traditional tent. Alternatively, simply relax and soak in the peace of the desert landscape.
After breakfast, begin the journey back north through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Azrou to see the cedar forests and playful Barbary macaques, and pass through Ifrane — known as “Morocco’s Switzerland” for its alpine charm. A stop in Imouzzer offers a peaceful break before continuing onward to Fes, Morocco’s ancient imperial city, where you’ll spend the night.
Explore Fes with a knowledgeable guide. Visit the Seven Golden Gates, walk through the historic Jewish Quarter, and enjoy a panoramic view over the sprawling medina. Tour the ceramics area, then enter the heart of the old medina where you’ll visit Moulay Idriss II Mausoleum, the Nejjarine Fondouk Museum, the Attarine Madrasa, Al Karaouine University, and the famous traditional leather tanneries.
Depart Fes and travel first to the well-preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis before continuing to the sacred hilltop town of Moulay Idriss. Next, explore Meknes with its grand Bab Mansour Gate, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and historic squares and souks. Continue into the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the captivating blue city, for your overnight.
Spend a full day discovering Chefchaouen’s peaceful blue streets, traditional kasbah, and scenic valley views. Highlights include Uta el-Hammam Square, the Kasbah fortress, the refreshing Ras El Maa river valley, and an optional hike to the Spanish Mosque for panoramic views over the town.
After breakfast, journey toward Tangier, where North African and European influences meet. Begin with the panoramic viewpoint at Cape Spartel, watch the Atlantic meet the Mediterranean, and explore the Caves of Hercules. In the afternoon, wander through the vibrant Old Medina and visit the historic Kasbah Fortress and the American Legation Museum.
Depart Tangier for Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Visit the Hassan Tower and the nearby Mausoleum of Mohammed V, explore the ancient Chellah ruins, and discover the peaceful Kasbah of the Udayas with ocean views. Wander Rabat’s Old Medina before traveling to Casablanca for your final night.
On your final day, your driver will transfer you to Casablanca Airport for your departure flight home, concluding your comprehensive tour of Morocco’s landscapes, cultures, and history. Drop-off can also be arranged in Fez, Casablanca, Rabat, or Tangier upon request.
