Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at Casablanca’s airport, your professional driver will greet you with a warm welcome and assist you with your luggage before transferring you to your accommodation. If you arrive early, you have the option to visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque — an architectural masterpiece overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive from Casablanca to Rabat, Morocco’s elegant capital. Begin with the Hassan Tower and visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the final resting place of the late king and his sons. Continue to explore Chellah, an ancient site where Roman ruins blend with a medieval necropolis. Later, stroll through Rabat’s Old Medina before heading north to Tangier for dinner and overnight.

Today is dedicated to exploring Tangier’s highlights. Admire the dramatic panorama at Cape Spartel, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. Venture into the legendary Caves of Hercules, known for their symbolic Africa-shaped opening. In the afternoon, wander the vibrant Old Medina, visit the historic Kasbah Fortress, and explore the American Legation Museum to learn about the city’s cultural connections.

Leave Tangier behind and head into the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen, the fabled Blue Pearl. Spend the day wandering through winding, blue-washed streets, visit Uta el-Hammam Square and the Kasbah, and take in views of the Ras El Maa river valley. For panoramic views over the town, an optional hike to the Spanish Mosque awaits.

Depart Chefchaouen and travel toward central Morocco. Visit the UNESCO-listed Roman ruins of Volubilis, explore the sacred hilltop town of Moulay Idriss, and continue to Meknes to admire its grand gates, such as Bab Mansour, and historic sites like Heri es-Souani. In the late afternoon, arrive in Fez, where you will spend the night.

Today you’ll explore Fez with a knowledgeable guide, discovering its rich history and craftsmanship. See the Seven Golden Gates of the Royal Palace, wander through the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and enjoy panoramic views over the Medina. Enter the ancient car-free lanes to visit the Moulay Idriss II Mausoleum, Nejjarine Fondouk Museum, and Attarine School, and witness artisans at work in the famous Leather Tanneries.

Your journey continues through the Middle Atlas, stopping in Ifrane (often called the “Switzerland of Morocco”) and Azrou with its cedar forests and playful Barbary macaques. Wind through the scenic Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga, where you’ll switch to camels for an unforgettable trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, spending the night in a desert camp beneath the stars.

Wake early for a stunning sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, you can visit Khamlia village to experience traditional Gnawa music, enjoy a 4×4 excursion to black volcanic rock formations and fossil sites, or visit a nomadic family to learn about desert life. If you prefer, you can simply relax at the camp and soak up the serene desert atmosphere.

After sunrise and breakfast in the desert, begin your scenic drive toward Ouarzazate. Visit the spectacular Todra Gorge for a walk among dramatic canyon walls, pass through the Dades Valley and Kalaat Mgouna (renowned for its rose fields), and arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight.

Explore Taourirt Kasbah and the film studios before heading to the iconic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site with timeless mud-brick architecture. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass and arrive in Marrakech for your next night.

Today’s guided exploration of Marrakech includes a peaceful walk through the Majorelle Gardens, a visit to the Koutoubia Mosque, the beautiful Saadian Tombs, and the ornate Bahia Palace. In the afternoon, discover the bustling souks and soak up the lively atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square.

On your final morning, you will be transferred to Marrakech Airport for your departure flight, bringing your immersive 12-day journey through Morocco to a memorable close. Drop-off points can also be selected in Fez, Casablanca, Rabat, or Tangier upon request.
